I have recently returned froma trip to India, it had always been my intention to go as my best friend at school was indian ( I am english) and also a Hindu, and he had tols me wonderful things about india. I was brought up a Christian by tradition rather than any deep seated religious veiws from my family, I have always been aware of my own need to formalise or even felt spritually understood.

I have read and breifed my self with many world religious concepts, beliefs and veiws. I am a hindu, i know this because my heart and soul identify completely and utterly with the words i read and thing i see, hear and smell. I is me. However I live on the south coast of England and can find no resourses to help me with my need to question, worship and discuss. In basic terms where do I start??

many thank yous, Natalie.

Hare Krishna

You have already started with the question..

"who am I?"

I personally started by reading the Bhagavad Gita.

You can read Here

If you find it a big read and are lazy like me /images/graemlins/mad.gif

then just skip to Chapter 2 and start reading,

you will be inspired and please read the purports.

Others may help you on this forum as well...Haribol! /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Haribol Natalie,

Who am I?

What am I?

Why am I?

For answers to these questions I suggest you go through this introduction to Vaisnava Philosphophy: http://www.iskcon.org/main/twohk/philo/roots.htm

I highly highly recommend you read through all of the sections to get a grasp of some of the basic terms and concepts before moving onto Bhagavad-gita As It Is: http://asitis.com.
