Guest guest
Technically speaking, it's a British movie, but the producer/director (Gurinder Chadha) is Indian, most of the main actors are Indian, and it's made in the style of an Indian movie. stonehearted
Yes, it is. Many of the actors are Indian, but most are Indo-English, and it's about how Indians change when they live in England. It has many Indian-film touches, which is part of what makes it so much fun for Westerners who have deep contact with Indian culture, Bollywood films, and Westerners of Indian descent. If it were a Bollywood flick (Amar, Akbar, Anthony) being sold in Wal-Mart, that would be real news. But this movie came from England and was such a hit in the US that they had to run it twice in the theaters. Pop quiz, movie fans! Fill in the blank: "I'm feelin' . . . "
