Guest guest
How does God use pain as a tool for good in life? - pain can guide us to the correct path. Actions that are contrary to God's purpose will result in pain. - pain often comes when we are tested by God - pain helps to guard against true pain, by keeping us from dangerous paths. - pain can help grow character to make us stronger in faith Is it fair to say the world is more pain than pleasure? I think looking at the world as a whole this is true. But also individually. Why is it people don't recognize the symptoms of pain and still indulge in bad activities? Meat eating, intoxication, gambling, and illicit sex likely cost hundreds of billions of dollars per year in suffering (cancer, accidents, debts, diseases, abortion). Govindaram
Hare Krishna How does God use pain as a tool for good in life? This world is not fit for any sane man, as said by Bhaktivinoda Thakura. We need to get out, not try and make plans for better living, chanting Holy Names of God is the Only way, as said by Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu (Incarnation of Lord Krishna-who spread the sankirtana movement). Is it fair to say the world is more pain than pleasure? The modes of material nature nature affect only those minds who have not 'yet' surrendered unto Vasudeva (Lord Krishna) The function of this world is apparantly of duality, so pleasure and pain is felt, but Not for the trancendentalist. Why is it people don't recognize the symptoms of pain and still indulge in bad activities? This could be the modes of material nature or Not wanting to serve God, so Maya attacks (called the devil in Christianity) anything that makes you forget God is pain, so these 4 pillars of sinful life should be given-up. Thankyou for your inspiring questions. /images/graemlins/smile.gif
