Govindaram
Hello, I'm not sure what answer you'looking for, though is it scientifically proven also that sound vibration is highly beneficial for the mind, I am not expert in this, but just look at the music industry, the money it generates, anyway, The Maha-Mantra is a spiritual sound vibration, so it can change the consciousness, into Krishna consciousness, either you will have material consciousness or Krishna consciousness, the mind is subtle consciousness, it is possible to change it, like cleaning it up, and keeping the shine nice with Chanting, I hope I have helped you so far in your question, maybe devotees here can help you. Govindaram
The Holy Name of Krishna and Lord Krishna Himself are Non-Different.. --- The chanting of the holy names of Krishna is so sublime that if one chants the Hare Krishna maha-mantra offenselessly, carefully avoiding the ten offenses, he can certainly be gradually elevated to the point of understanding that there is no difference between the holy name of the Lord and the Lord Himself. The Nectar of Instruction Text 5(puport) Unless one is advanced in Krishna-prema, love of Krishna, he cannot see or understand. By the blunt material senses, we cannot even understand the name of Krishna. People are always asking, "Why are these people chanting Hare Krishna?" They cannot understand, although Krishna realization begins with the name. The name of Krishna and Krishna are nondifferent, but we cannot realize this intellectually. We have to practice chanting Hare Krishna to realize it. When we actually advance in devotional service and chant the Hare Krishna maha-mantra offenselessly, we will realize that Krishna and His name are nondifferent.
