And that unless people get some material help, they can't appreciate God consciousness. Of course, to some extent that's true. A person who's starving… Guest: Well, just said that matter of fact very clearly. Hridy: But Jesus himself, what did he do? He went on preaching. The idea is that we don't live in a society where… there's actually scarcity… We live in a society where the leaders are… Guest: Non-distribution. Hridy: Uh the leaders are just uh fools… that are cheating people. Guest: Uh, that's true. Hridy: If you take Jesus's own example, he was always preaching about God and God consciousness. He wasn't just… So in a God conscious society, of course there must be all these social programs. There's no question of starving. Everyone is allowed to live comfortably. At the same time, everyone must work - because an idle mind is the devil's workshop. The people in general are in ignorance. You should try seriously to understand Krsna consciousness because it is not a question of formal joining, but of understanding. The main thing is understanding… cause knowledge is not… there's no boundaries or barriers for knowledge. If you have knowledge, then wherever you go you have that knowledge.
