Priitaa
Please tell me the specific cause of your suffering, and what we can do to help alieviate it? I know what it means to suffer, so please reveal to us what is causing you so much pain. I am sure we can come up with a variety of ideas to help you, if only you will give the specifics of the problem. Even if we can't resolve it all, I know from personal experience, that devotee association can at least help open doors or windows I never saw that changed things for the better, so pelase give us a chance. What is causing you so much pain?
krsna
Dear Mataji, pamho agtSP All glories to your couselling service. I like your inspiration newsletter- full of nectar What's putting me in a lot of pain is my lacking in spiritual desire for krishna bhakti, the ever increasing taste for chanting is gone, the Dieties in the temple have become stone idols, the Bhagavatam pastimes mere myth, association with devotees mundane gossiping. The past made up of too many offenses to Guru and the Vaisnavas. I feel only Krishna and Krishna's pure devotee can help me now. What can I possibly do to once again attract the loving merciful sidelong glance of the darling beloved son of Mother Yasoda? yours in Krishna bhakti rasa, krsnadas
Guest guest
Krishna says in the Gita, api chetsu duracharo bhajate mam ananyabhak sadhureva sa mantavya samyag vyavasito saha. "Even though a person is the vilest sinner or a miscreant, his sins are forgiven the moment he repents and prays to Me with single pointed mind. Thereafter, in My view, I consider him a saint, because his mind is bent on righteousness."
danava
Namaste, Jaya Sri Sri Guru and Gaurana! I dont know why do you grieve for so much, but just remember -- all this world is not truly real. It is just your bad dream realized by maha maya. Someone could call this dream "falldown from vaikuntha". So it seems like these days you have "bad dreams".. Eat some sweet prasadam, song some sweet bhajana, make some Sri Krishna katha -- there are lots of funny stories with Sri Krishna. Yes Krishna will help. Why? Because He really loves you and in contrary to us Sri Govinda never falls in these material dreams, Sri Narayana Hrishikesha has never stopped to love us. That was we who desired to be god.. All this world is about to wake up and this is Krishna's shakti it perfectly serves Krishna so rest assured you will "comeback". _/\_
Govindaram
Hare Krishna You sound like your depressed prabhu! from a material point of view the above is true, but spiritual not at all, you sound very humble, devotees are always compassionate to the fallen souls, take heed and pray to Guru & Gauranga, hare krishna. Priitaa
Dear Krsna das prabhu, Thank you. I'm glad you like my newsletter. /images/graemlins/smile.gif By the way, until the next issue is released, you may want to check out the archives or the sidebar 'links.' Maybe they will inspire you during these down moments. I think we are all feeling the desire for Krishna Bhakti yet are not pure devotees so do not have sufficient attraction for chanting, or do not have full realiation of the Deity, and so on. What I dont understand is why you are so hard on yourself about it. I tend to agree with Govindaram. You sound like you are depressed. IMHO, that can effect spiriutal life. Try to make a change in consciousness, an attutude shift, let yourself feel happiness! /images/graemlins/smile.gif We are all in the fire getting purified and until we achive the goal, we will have one foot in each world. As long as you keep chanting, keep trying, the rest will follow. Though if you are keeping the association of devotees who gossip, or gossip a lot, you may need to get out of that assocation. But really prabhu, we are all experiencing such things, so I suspect something more is going on. Maybe you just need to tell yourself its ok to be happy while in the material world aspiring to achieve the spiriutal world. I dont know what you're specific needs are, but its a start. Whatever we are doing, even if its less than first class, somehow or other we can find some connection to Krishna. Remembering Krishna should not make us feel sad or bad, but joy! After all, He is our eternal well wisher. As a parent, I know I want my children to feel good about themselves. I also know that on every level this is required to succeed in much of anything in life. Do you really think Krishna wants us to suffer? He is benevolent. He wants us to be happy. Maybe you never thought about it from that perspective - I dont know, but I do feel Krishna, the God of love, the One Supreme God, is all about good feelings, not bad. If you feel down due to any guilt from previous sinful activities, just chant! Chant them away and do them no more, and even if you slip but its accidental, just chant more and keep on trying. As long as we are not sinning on the strength of the holy name but sincerely endeavoring, then chanting them away is ok to do. As George Harrison said "Chant and BE HAPPY." /images/graemlins/smile.gif Hey, the guy went back to Godhead. He lead a less then perfect life but still chanted at the time of death, therefore still went to Krishna. You can do it too. And its ok to smile about it. ha
DarkEye
probably your mind have diverted to something else!...probably you have found some new interest....or...maybe you are expecting something to happen and because it didn't happen you starting to loose faith.....(* this are only my guesses)...nothing to offend you...just want to help you to find out what is wrong /images/graemlins/smile.gif
Priitaa
I dont know why do you grieve for so much, but just remember -- all this world is not truly real. It is just your bad dream realized by maha maya. Actually prabhu, with all due respect, that would be impersonalism or mayavadi philosophy. Prabhupada explains that this world IS real. It's MahaVishnu's dream and not ours, so as a creation of Krishna's its very real BUT it is temporary. Though we do fall under the illusion of maya, maybe that is what you meant -- that we don't know how to overcome maya or have not the strength to overcome her powers right here and now. Prabhupada has given us everything we need to know to do that tho, and all we need is to keep at it.
Guest guest
Hare Krishna this is a little off topic, but a devotee stated some facts about George Harrison. don't you think it is Krishna's desire everything is happening? we may have a little say so, but ultimately it is Krishna, Krishna, and Krishna. what a perfect time it was that George Harrison met Srila Prabhupada; he was "there" to help the Krishna Consciousness movement grow by singing the Hit song, Hare Krishna maha mantra; this was the first time that many on this planet had heard the maha mantra. well, i just thought of this greatness a few moments before typing it. also, if we think enough, in just about everything we can see that it is happening for the best. sometimes thinking about something that happened, let it be either over a short time, or years, may finally make the 'pieces of the puzzle fall together'. i don't mean to be annoying or anything, but just think with a 'positive' mind, and you will more than likely see Krishna's hand behind everything that is happening. Priitaa
It was me who made a statement about George Harrision, and yes, I think it happened by Krisna's arrangement. I also tihnk it's both. Krishna grants freewill and for that matter, we only go back to Godhead if we desire to go back to Godhead. Of course, we are so small and mostly it is Krishna who drags us back, ha, yet we first need to want it. IMHO, a sincere heart is needed (followed by sincere actions such as japa, Deity worship, etc) for us, or George, get to return to Krishna. I do feel with George, he got some unusual mercy in the sense that Prabhupada said to him (rough quote) "You gave a home to Krishna in the material world, so Krishna will give you a home in the spiriutal world." In that and other ways, George had Prabhupada's blessings. Yet it is a mistake to think we don't have them just as much. It was not the first time many on this planet initially heard the Maha Mantra, but the first time many in the West heard the Maha Mantra. Here is my George Harrision and Srila Prabhupada web site that may help explain further: http://www.geocities.com/priitaa/gh_and_sp.htm Hope you like it! /images/graemlins/smile.gif
ShegavichaRana
you are going through were caused by you to somebody at someother times in you past births. You must undergo them, NONE, I repeat NONE can take your sufferings, as they are your own making. Take this as a cleansing process of your soul, as God has seen that you have focussed your mind towards HIM. When you do this, God wants your accumulated Karma to be exhausted rapidly, thus you (or many othes too) find, a torrent of difficult times come to you. Instead of running away from these difficulties, you face them with HIS support and faith. Surely you would come out unscathed.
danava
Dear Priitaa, please accept my dandavats. This word is real and not real in the same time. This word exist only because there are jivas who wish to be here. The only question is why do they wish so? The answer I know is -- this is because the jivas are in illusion -- "dream". By the wish of the Supreme Personality of Godhead -- Sri Krishna, the maha-maya makes our dreams real. So yes from this point of view this word is real. The pain and joy is real, the outer energy, maha-maya, of Sri Krishna is also real energy. But actually everything arround is aranged according to my illusionary dreams and from this point of view this word is considered to be not real. acitya bheda-abheda tattva /images/graemlins/smile.gif
