theist
Considering that fiction may indeed be a proper term. I guess I will prefer theoretical ideal but you are right it amounts to basically the same thing.

AncientMariner
That's a good point. I would like to raise some cows in my front lawn and treat them with the utmost respect but if I did that the county would come to my house and take them and slaughter them, that is if one of my neighbors didn't do it before the county came and did it. This thread has definetly made me try to reduce my dairy product intake but I don't even see how it is possible to become "100% natural and karma free" in todays society without going to a forrest and starving to death. theist
Karma free is not my goal I think that is someone else's comment on my perceive beliefs. It is simply about not causing this intense suffering to other living entities. It is needless cruel and etremely selfish. Really I am confused as to why that in itself is not enough to persuade devotees to stop.
AncientMariner
Well I have switched to soymilk. Its still difficult to eliminate all dairy but I have reduced it to almost no dairy.

At high speed add water and blend for several minutes or until all solids are pulverized. Add extract and sweetener if desired. Tarun
Walmart's email ISP ran a pro-cowmilk article last week. Maybe it's still running.
Tarun
His impression of Carnival games: "Hit the dog & win a puppy!" Is this related to your calf/cow milking proposal?
Guest guest
listening to this, I think one MUST become vegan, unless the milk is from one of Krishna`s temples. Jai Sarhubhi.
hanumandas
I think vegan is a way forward. Unless it is milk from one of Lord Krishna`s farms.
Tarun
Yet guru-zAstra-sAdhu declare: "That cow whose milk is offered to K gets sukRti = credit beyond death."
Guest guest
is your home not a temple, your house should also be a temple, prabhupada's desire. With so many temples around the world and few farm's at the moment it is not possible to have farm milk only, but krishna is pleased when offered milk product's. Kali yuga is difficult and we must do the best we can. My opinion is milk is ok from the shop if there is nothing else, but it doesn't mean you support creulty to cow's. The milk is still from mother cow and krishna still except's that offering of devotional service, but there is good and best.
