Guest guest
Is it normal for Temple residents to have outside jobs? Like to save money to move on to grihasta life or a grihasta living in a temple saving for a baby coming ? Hare Krishna
Guest guest
absolutely not, a temple can surely help a grihasta (one who is saving for a grihasta life is already a grihasta) in difficult moments but it is an emergence, not the standard
Guest guest
I guess our temple is not running by the standard then. In my opinion it is only making the temple not be run smoothly. Several of the devotees are not there during the day because they are working outside the temple, full time. Don't get me wrong, I am not talking bad about them, I really value the service they do do. And they try very hard to make everything work, but I guess it comes back to management and how it is run. Several Grihastas who donate A LOT of money every month to the temple are starting to get pretty frustrated that not much is getting done around the temple and the sunday feast is consisting of not a typical meal at all ( no dahl, a lot of potatoes, A LOT.
