Guest guest
Yes, if you can take some time off from taking a bath daily and brushing your teeth daily.
Guest guest
Sorry i meant, No its not an offense. But why would you want to take time off? Would you take time off or stop bathing, brushing your teeth daily?
Guest guest
It's an offence just to be embodied here. Children sometimes stubbornly hold their breath until they turn blue. Of course, that still won't make them Krsna, so they soon start breathing again. Eventually, after many trials and tribulations, we come to appreciate the Holy Names and embrace Them with the deepest gratitude. Don't worry, once started Krsna won't let you go, even if it seems so at times.
Sunandaji
I would say... do the best you can, if you feel tired of chanting, better change your mind for a while than stopping chanting forever... so do as you prefer, there's no rules to chant the Holy Name, and Krsna loves you, HE's not here to punish you ! It is said that even if someone doesn't attain perfection, it means if he practices for a while and then stop, he will go to the heavenly kingdom and then come back to earth to resume his spiritual path, from the point he was at... better chant, but also better do things gradually. sudhaya
Yes Listen to your mind, it has all the good qualifications of a log of stool, Listen to the stone-like mind, with your intelligence you tell it to chant, but the stone-mind will say NO. KICK IT! Whack it with a brroom stick, clean it!! Stupid fool, the mind knows better than KRSNA, or Archaryas, it is the best of People, it is above KRSNA, FOOL! FOOL! FOOL! Beat that mind into submission 1...2...3! Kick the livin daylights out of it, cage it in the Maha-Mantra, don't let it out, you'll know when mind is YOUR FRIEND. NOT YOUR ETERNAL ENEMY. Guest guest
"you'll know when mind is YOUR FRIEND. NOT YOUR ETERNAL ENEMY." Yes, when it reminds you to chant. Of course, you'll still have to listen and respond. That takes God-given intelligence. Fortunately though, the mind is not eternal. Neither is duality consciousness which is incessantly driven to "beat" and "whack" supposed "enemies".
