Guest guest
An object has a reflection: When looking we see two images, yet there is only one thing. Likewise, this world is a reflection of the Supreme Lord. We may see two, yet only One exists… -Jnaneshwar I am not Jnaneshwar, got this as a mail from Daily Hindu Wisdom. Guest guest
Reflections are seen as a reversed or upside down image, sometimes both. Oneness is certainly there, but difference as well. Perceiving both simultaneously is the truth we seek as Gaudiya vaishnava devotees. This truth is said to be incomprehensible, which doesn't mean unknowable, simply that it must be revealed. "Supreme" indicates supremacy, thus the extent of our ability to know must depend on revelation over and above anything else. How to obtain this and much more is explained in detail within the Bhagavad-gita. Different translations interpret "simultaneous oneness and difference" differently.
