Stories of his wisdom and readiness to help the needy are legendary. Swamiji took up a million-dollar project to build a model colony of 108 houses in Gujarat to provide relief to earthquake victims. He soothed many anxious Indians when he conducted the Mahavaruna Yajna during a drought. He also supports various tribal schools, School for the blind and Vedic Schools. Swamiji’s spiritual discourses are well-attended all over the world. It is said that his strength lies in the fact that he can communicate with everyone, from a 9-year-old to a 90- year-old. In 1981, he became the full-fledged head and acharya of the Srimad Ubhaya Vedantha Acharya Peetam, Nadigaddapalem. He went to Badarinath, the abode of Lord Narayana and did penance, reciting the all-powerful Ashtakshari Maha Manthra. Swamiji, a profound Sanskrit scholar, started the JET (Jeeyar Educational Trust) in 1982 at Sithanagaram, Guntur Dist.
