Atheism and theism are not both beliefs. The theist says "I believe in god". The atheist doesn't say he believes in anything. He doubts everything and only accepts as true things that have a lot of evidence going for them. He does not try to convince people, he just says, "examine the evidence yourself and make up your own mind". The believer tries to impose his beliefs on everyone, even though he has no evidence, and in the case of god, not even a hope of ever having any evidence.

A healthy nature needs no God or immortality.

-Johann Schiller

Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by the rulers as useful.

-Seneca the Younger

All superstition is much the same . . .

The deluded believers observe events which are fulfilled, but neglect and pass over their failure, though it be much more common - Francis Bacon

Dear Guest you're right in your own way.

When you make up your mind to discover the Truth, you'll be provided means to do so. If you start of thinking that YOU have to be convinced without any doubt of something's reality, that negative approach won't get you anywhere.

So try to open your mind up and consider other possibilities, then see what your infinite guide might help his human expression find!

He does not try to convince people, he just says, "examine the evidence yourself and make up your own mind".

Are you not trying to convince us to examine the evidence and then believe (or not) as you do?

You see you have no evidence that there is no God.

Everything that you provide to show that there is no God is something a theist can use to increase his faith that there is.

And just the attempt to try and disprove God's existence is a contradiction to the statement that an atheist "does not try to convince people."

Neither position can force their belief into another. That is an attempted violation of the God-given freedom to remember god or forget him that He Himself gives and protects to every soul.

"A man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still."

So it is an important topic to consider and conversation to be had. Each presenting their points of view but one in which force has no role.

So again I state there is no evidence that disproves God. none. Not an atom.

Do you have something to present to refute my statement?
