Avinash
World over, there is movement for gender equality. Many statements are being made, many ideas are being suggested to make sure that gender equality is achieved. With which of these ideas do you agree and with which do you disagree? theist
The freedom to be educated. I believe that any soul irregardless of the bodily covering has the right to expand their learning, resricted only by their own capacity to learn. I reject any and all social constraints being placed on anyone in this area. I also believe that economic limitations and advantages should be addressed by the state and by people of goodwill everywhere. Not that the top learners should be slowed down by artifical goals as in affirmitive action but that oppurtunities in the lagging quarters of society should be expanded. Like the demon Taliban in Afghanistan who punished women for learning and made it against the law. This is a tremendous injustice. It also is a necessary component of keeping a section of society enslaved. It also denies the human race as a whole a great pool of human resources to draw from. Knowledge is wealth. Ignorance is poverty. Let everyone become rich. Of course what constitutes a real education is another subject for debate.
