Pankaja_Dasa
Hare Krishna I have a question, it says in Brahma Samhita 5.1: isvarah paramah krsnah sac-cid-ananda-vigrahah anadir adir govindah sarva-karana-karanam Krsna who is known as Govinda is the Supreme Godhead. He has an eternal blissful spiritual body. He is the origin of all. He has no other origin and He is the prime cause of all causes. And: Isopanishad 14 One should know perfectly the Personality of Godhead Sri Krsna and His transcendental name, form, qualities and pastimes, as well as the temporary material creation with its temporary demigods, men and animals. When one knows these, he surpasses death and the ephemeral cosmic manifestation with it, and in the eternal kingdom of God he enjoys his eternal life of bliss and knowledge. { www.vedabase.net } So this means anybody who knows Krsna knows everything so as you can see from the Title, why is it a Pure Vaishnava doesn't know everything? Like why isn't he perfect in Sanskrit? or can't build a computer from scratch? What's the meaning of Knowing Krsna perfectly if you don't know these things? On the other hand is love of Krsna means you forget everything else? This is very confusing and almost contradictory.
Guest guest
Ajagara-vrtti. Ajagara-vrtti, the idea is... Ajagara means the snake. So a mouse makes a hole in the field to live very peacefully. So, and he enters the hole, and a snake gets the information and he comes, enters the hole. He eats the snake... The snake eats the mouse and lives peacefully. So let this rascal manufacture motorcar. When we require, we take from them and ride away. We are not going to manufacture. There will be some rascals. Let them do that, mouse. We enter as snake. (laughter) That's all. We are doing that. We are doing that. I did not manufacture this house, but somebody, some mouse, has done. (laughter) And we have entered it, that's all. That's all. This is going on all over the world. Srila Prabhupada...
theist
So this means anybody who knows Krsna knows everything so as you can see from the Title, why is it a Pure Vaishnava doesn't know everything? No, you missed it. Krsna IS everything. Bg 7.12 If you know Krsna you know everything. And what is it to 'know' something? One man, an expert chemist, knows the components of an orange down to every molecule. He can name the specific molecules that account for the smell, the coloring, and those that account for the sweet taste of an orange. He has memorized every component and can explain an orange in incredible detail. But he has never eaten an orange. On the other hand you have a child of three years who just loves oranges. The way they look, smell and the sweetness of their taste. He can eat them all day long. But he can't even pronounce orange correctly and can't spell it. Which of the two knows an orange best? Krsna is unlimited. Everything about Him is infinite. We are jivas, very tiny, infitesimal. It is not possible to know Him like the chemist knows the orange. Better to be in the position of the three year old child and know Him that way. Pankaja_Dasa
Oh yes Thiestji I agree with your view. The scientists is not tasting the orange he is just theorizing about it. So the child knows more better he is actually tasting. {rasa} So it seems you answered my question. Still though now that I think about it. Material mundane level pleasure comprised in the mundane mind is pleasure on a level which is appropriate to the level of this individual. So spiritual pleasure of the supramundane is of a level appropriate to this particular transcendentalist individual. That reminds me of Gita verse: TRANSLATION The spirit soul bewildered by the influence of false ego thinks himself the doer of activities that are in actuality carried out by the three modes of material nature. PURPORT Two persons, one in Krishna consciousness and the other in material consciousness, working on the same level, may appear to be working on the same platform, but there is a wide gulf of difference in their respective positions. The person in material consciousness is convinced by false ego that he is the doer of everything. He does not know that the mechanism of the body is produced by material nature, which works under the supervision of the Supreme Lord. The materialistic person has no knowledge that ultimately he is under the control of Krishna. The person in false ego takes all credit for doing everything independently, and that is the symptom of his nescience. He does not know that this gross and subtle body is the creation of material nature, under the order of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, and as such his bodily and mental activities should be engaged in the service of Krishna, in Krishna consciousness. The ignorant man forgets that the Supreme Personality of Godhead is known as Hrishikesa, or the master of the senses of the material body, for due to his long misuse of the senses in sense gratification, he is factually bewildered by the false ego, which makes him forget his eternal relationship with Krishna. __ http://bhagavadgitaasitis.com/3/27/en1
