nidhigoel1977
Bhagavatas, How is it that Akrura is sometimes described as the paternal uncle of Krishna? From the Bhagavat Purana it appears that Akrura is son of Shvaphalka who is the son of Vrishni. But, Krishna appeared 10 generations after King Vrishni, as the son of Vasudeva who is son of Surasena. Akrura's Ancestors in the Bhagavat Purana in Book 9 Section 24 ...Satvata -> Vrishni -> Shvaphalka -> Akrura Krishna's Ancestors in the Bhagavat Purana in Book 9 Section 24 ...Satvata -> Vrishni -> Chitraratha -> Viduratha -> Shura -> Bhajamana -> Shini -> Bhoja -> Hridika -> Devamidha -> Shurasena -> Vasudeva -> Krishna Can one of the learned bhagavatas please resolve this? Thank you! Regards Nidhi
