Guest guest
Hare Krishna, I wonder why can't be deities of Lord Siva etc. in Iskcon temple. If they are considered as Krishn's param bhakta . In vrindavan lila Parwati (Lord Siva's wife ) helped in lord Krishna's pastime , so Why can not be images them in a temple. At least one can pray them to give strength to be a pure devotee of lord krishna. YS,dd
Guest guest
there are pics of Siva in the temple room of the Mumbai (Juhu) temple - it depicts the story of Siva drinking the poison that came out of the ocean whilst churning it. theist
If one tried toput a picture or murti of everyone connected to Krsna's pastimes in the temple how would that be possible? Buddha Christ and Prithu maharaja are all sakyavesa avatars. And that is only three out of an unlimited number. Of them Lord Buddha and Lord Christ are still prominantly remembered and worship in the world today so it would seem to make sense as an all inclusive mode of worship. But how is it practical? All expansions are included in the original form of Sri Krsna. Also not all are present in the particular mood of Vraja which many devotees are trying to cultivate. So I may choose to worship Christ in connection with Krsna as His devoteeand someone else may choose to worship Siva as His devotee. No problem. That is for our personal lives and home altars if we wish. But there is no need to crowd them all onto the same altar at every temple. But Prabhupada was not against anyone chanting Om Namo Sivaya if that is where their heart led. He had full knowledge and faith that Lord Siva would be pleased to be worshiped as a Krsna bhakta and bless such a person with the same Krsna bhakti. What is needed in temples is the same magnanimous non-sectarian realization.
