Guest guest
Do the different sects (Theravada, Mahayana, Tibetan & Zen) have different views on death & rebirth. What does each sect do when someone dies? What are their traditions regarding death and rebirth? Are there any terms regarding death & rebirth unique to each sect & if there are, what do they mean? Thanks. Lola
Guest guest
Budhism says that after death, there is void. So there is no rebirth in their conception. I wonder what happens to Karma then? Isn't one accountable of rhis/her actions in Budhism?
Guest guest
The Buddhists do have an understanding of karma and rebirth. Read the Bardo Thodol, Tibetian Book of the Dead for example. Where it gets contradictory is that they also don't believe in a self. So what reincarnates and why does one person's karma differ from another's?That they can't explain. This is what anyone who is investigating Buddhism must question. To the original poster, you may not find much detailed knowledge about Buddhism here. Are you aware of Krishna consciousness?
