AncientMariner
I just asked a devotee of Krishna in a buddhist chatroom if you can relieve past sinful reactions by reading the story of Prahlada Maharaja and he said yes that is called sravanam hearing. theist
Is there a difference between listening and hearing?
Pankaja_Dasa
Hearing is when your parents listen. And listening is when they talk with you.
Guest guest
Theist Ji, I searched in the Cambridge dictionary to find that listening means hearing attentively. Here's the definition: 1) hear (RECEIVE SOUND) [show phonetics] verb [i or T] heard, heard to receive or become aware of a sound using your ears: 2) listen [show phonetics] verb to give attention to someone or something in order to hear them: Hare Krishna! Regards, Som.
