Jahnava Nitai Das
80 Gigabytes is 80,000 Megabytes of storage space. If you get a harddisk it will be difficult for you to install it inside your computer if you dont know much about computers. Better to get an Iomega 160 GB external harddisk drive which attaches via the USB port of your computer. It is portable so you can carry it and use it on any computer (where as an internal harddrive can only be used on the one computer it is installed on. The complete SrilaPrabhupada lectures take up around 18 GB, so you can put them on it as well and still have a lot of place left over. Pankaja_Dasa
Wow. I thought he meant he wanted some Disks like Cds/DVD. My computer holds 9Gig space. This is good idea to get. I could become a mobile 'CD-Ripper-Preacher'. Vedabase on the Go [Lectures]. Haha
Pankaja_Dasa
Is it possible to get an External drive like you said with in-built CD/DVD Writer? I checked price Drive is about £130. Writer about £40. I bet it wasn't that price 3 years ago when I got this computer.
Guest guest
Question: Srila BV Puri Maharaj was born 5th day of the waning period of the Moon of Magha in 1913. Does anyone who knows anything about vedic calenders know what this translates to in our own Gregorian calender? (i.e. what we use day to day?)
