Guest guest
that he sends his devotees straight to Vrindavan. It's all his will, we are too small to understand Krishna's plan. We just have to humble ourselves in front of Krishna and accept whatever he gives, including death. Krishna's every act has a deeper meaning. We shouldn't judge. Hare Krishna! Jahnava Nitai Das
By Dasanudas Vanacari Posted August 9, 2005 Dear Devotees, Hare Krsna. Sorry for the confusion. Here is the clarification: Donations can go throught the "Adopt-a-cow" program for now, a the New Talavan Website. Saci Dulal (not the prabhupada Disicple from New Dvarka) is in very serious condition with severe internal injuries and his chances of survival are perhaps 5%. Antaryatma Prabhu is also in serious condition with numerous broken bones and spinal injuries that are expected to leave him paralyzed. Most of the other devotees will be released sometime today except for Topi Prabhu who will remain hospitalized for a couple of days more. The cremation of Mani Bandha's body will probably be tomorrow in El Paso. That's the latest as of five minutes ago. Thank you so much for your prayers and donations. Jahnava Nitai Das
Dear Devotees, Hare Krsna! Here's an update on the condition of the devotees from New Orleans temple who were involved in Monday's tragic accident: Divya Gopal and Mathura Krsna Prabhus are out of the hospital, and flew back to New Orleans yesterday. Topi Krsna and Uttama Prabhus will be released and will be flying home today. Antaratma Prabhu's condition remains serious. He's still in the ICU, with the extent of his injuries still unclear. Please pray for his recovery. Saci Dulal Prabhu also remains in the ICU in very critical condition. The doctors are recommending surgery to relieve pressure on his brain, and that will probably be performed today. We are very grateful to the devotee community for their support and generous response to our appeal for emergency funds. The donations we have received will help cover the emergency travel expenses, however we are still short of the amount needed to cover the funeral arrangements for Mani Bandha Prabhu's body. Any little bit you can contribute will help. Send checks to the address below or PayPal to adoptacow@newtalavana.org. Thanks again for your donations and prayers. Guest guest
Seven New Orleans Devotees in Van Crash by ISKCON New Talavan Posted August 10, 2005 Dear Devotees and Friends of New Talavan, Hare Krsna! With great regret, it is our duty to inform you about a serious car accident affecting seven devotees from New Orleans yatra. They were returning from the LA Rathayatra Festival when the accident occurred near El Paso, Texas. Here is a link to a local newspaper report describing the accident. Mani Bandha Prabhu has left his body, and Saci Dulal Prabhu is in very critical condition in the Intensive Care unit of Thomason Hospital (915)521-7700. It is not yet known whether Saci will survive. Antaratma Prabhu (Ashis Halder) is presently unconscious and in serious condition at Beaumont Hospital (915) 569-2121 and (915) 569-1717 for ICU, and will probably remain in hospital for at least 6 weeks. Mathura (Manas Mandal), Divya Gopal (Dibyendu Jana), Uttama (Uttama Pal), Saci Dulal (Sacin Ray), and Topi (Tapan Mandal) are in satisfactory condition and doctors expect them to be released from hospital within 24-48 hours. Yogindra Prabhu, Mother Maharani, Sarvajaya Gauranga and Makhanchor Prabhus have driven to El Paso to make funeral arrangements for Saci Dulal Prabhu and to take care of the others. We have an urgent need for emergency funds to take care of this devastating situation. Air tickets are extremely expensive, and as of now we do not have the means to bring these devotees home and take proper care of them. We also need funds to cover the cremation of Mani Bandha's body. To donate or help out in other ways, please contact Dasanudas Vanacari at this email address or the phone number below. Thank you very much for any assistance, and please keep these devotees in your prayers.
