I put all of the Prabhupada Dvds dat. files. But I can't play them from the hardrive. Anyone know what I could do? Windows Player 9 won't play not even music match. I didn't try Realplayer. Jahnava Nitai Das Posted September 20, 2005 Report Share Posted September 20, 2005 You need PowerDVD to play DVDs. But you may need more files than just the .dat file. I'm not certain about it, but I believe at least some DVDs split the audio and video tracks into two seperate files. You would have to test it and find out. If you change the dat. file extention to .mp3 or .wma or even .mpg it plays but ONLY on older versions of Windows Media Player, Player 9 won't play it.
