Guest guest Posted September 27, 2005 Report Share Posted September 27, 2005 Essentaily we should perform puja according to the Niyams in the shastras, however during Navratri we can simply do a simple Puja to Lakshmi if we lack the qualification to do big pujas. I suggest doing some form of fast and doing simple archana with flowers and Kumkum to Mahalaksmi, followed by offering pure veg. food and araati. Also singing simple bhajans and keertans. The archana invloves chanting each one of the Devi's names and at the end of each name (when we say namah) flower petals are offered. In the case of doing archana to devi kumkum is often offered life Tulasi is offered to Vishnu, bilva to siva etc....
