krsna
Does the guru take the karma of the disciple at the time of diksa? It is said that actually the karma of the disciple is destroyed and the guru never takes the karma (meaning the sins) of the disciple. Often I heard that the guru takes the karma of his disciples and that he gets sick or diseased as consequences of the heavy "load" of that shouldered karma and of the sins the disciples continue to make... So, how is it technically to be understood that the karma is destroyed? What role does the guru play in that "destruction"? Any references of that "destroying" process? And lets say, a sad-guru really gets sick or his body disfunctions, how is this to be understood?
