krsna
P.A.V.A.N. - NEW MEMBER OF THE WVA by Parama Karuna D. Dear Maharajas and Prabhus, Please accept our respectful pranam. We are humbly presenting the aims, objectives and programmes of our Organisation, begging for your blessings. We started our Organisation in 1995, with the aim of helping the people of Orissa and especially of Puri (the holy place where Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakura, the founder of all Gaudiya Maths, appeared in this world) to better appreciate the Sarasvata Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition and principles. We started from the vegetarian approach because we believe that, as stated in Srimad Bhagavatam (10.1.4), one who lives by killing animals is unable to understand the glories of the Supreme Lord. Even in this holy place of Jagannath Puri there is a very high percentage of non-vegetarians. Due to the mercy of the Vaishnavas, Guru and Krishna, we gradually developed and we are now starting a new ashram just outside the city of Jagannath Puri. at Piteipur, Ghatahota, Chandanpur. The new place will be gradually developed with a school, vocational training center, and charitable dispensary for the local people who will then be inspired to join in the Sankirtana prema dharma. Our plan is to make all these local people into parama vaishnavas through spiritual education such as regular pravachana, bhajana, sankirtana, and systematic class on Chaitanya Charitamrita, Chaitanya Bhagavata, etc. In the future we also plan to develop an old age home for Vaishnavas who wish to retire in the holy place of Jagannath Puri, with the affectionate assistance of devotees, first class medical help, and a peaceful, clean and spiritual environment. We would be honored to receive the blessings of a visit of the senior Gaudiya Vaishnavas for a spiritual function of inauguration, maybe for the next Ratha yatra. On that occasion we can organize some nice preaching programme.
