Actually there is no such thing as the material world. Is it true?

I have heard the following statement:

 

“Actually there is no such thing as the material world , that is just an illusion, a dream, a matrix. All living entities , eternally live in spiritual world. They all just imagine that they are such and such and living in the material world. Therefore, there is no falling down or going back to Godhead. When a soul is said to be liberated, it means that it is just awaken from a bad dream.”

 

Is it true?

One of the basic tenets of Vaishnavism is that the material world is real.

 

However, the way we perceive this world in a contaminated state - that is an illusion.

 

 

Our body is designed to perceive the world in an incomplete and illusory way, because our material senses are imperfect and incomplete. there is no way around it.

 

Even when we make the full connection between this world and Krishna is in our consciousness, some of that partiality and illusion of our vision remains, at least as long as we are in a material body.

 

Let us use the example of this forum as being a metaphor for this material world.

 

Admin 5, being an Administrator here (demigod body), sees a lot more on his screen than users like you and me (human body), yet he does not see all the underlying code, etc.

 

What we see of this world, and how we see it, depends on our body and consciousness, but only Krishna sees it fully and perfectly.

 

We can only see it as fully, and use it as perfectly, as it gets for us little people...
