Vegetarianism

I am a Vegetarian. But I want to know why one should be vegetarian, because vegetarians eat plants and plants also have Life. So how come vegetarians are vegetarians?

though having life, have a very low level of consciousness compared to animals. So eating the meat of animals should be strictly avoided.

GENESIS 1 In The Beginning:

 

27 So God created man in his own image,

in the image of God he created him;

male and female he created them.

 

28 God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground."

is correct. But most Christians take that to mean one should not kill human beings.

 

I agree with you that If one wants to make progress, one should stop interpreting and take the message as it is.
