Pankaja_Dasa
What does Varna-sankara mean. Varna means.. And what does sankara mean, those 2 words taken together. And how do you apply this for today [i'm joking i couldn't help it]
Kulapavana
varna-sankara refers to people who are unwanted in the vedic society: those who are unproductive, unregulated, and not obiding by the vedic principles of dharma. they only create a strain on the vast majority of vedic law obiding people. Pankaja_Dasa
But what do the individual words means.
Gaurhari
varna= color; sankara= mixture or blending. Hence, varna-sankara=mixture or blending of colors; mixture or confusion of castes (social orders) through intermarriage; or mixed or impure progeny (translated in the Gita as "unwanted progeny". Hope this helps a bit.
