Guest guest
Belief in God is really lame and not based in reality. Religionists require an overt pledge of faith in God, but the god they demand faith in is neither explained, or if he is, is not very attractive. However, there is the idea of realization, Self as well as God realization, which transcends beliefs, which change all the time. Srila Prabhupada explains that sraddah is much stronger, and not synonomous with belief or faith. Sraddah means conviction. He gives Krsna in fully attractive features, beginning with Harinama. There may be sentimental faith at the beginning stage, but by following the acaryas method, unequivocal attraction takes place. The question should be, does God believe in me. He is not to be found, He is Omnipresent eternally, but we are lost and asleep. When we chant his name, he actually becomes attracted to us in a transcendental way, like a mother to her crying child. His love for us needs no development. The question should be, do I reciprocate this causeless love He has for me. The answer is still no, but I am convinced that reciprocation of His love CAN be developed under the guidance of a bonafide spiritual master.
