Kulapavana
when you love someone, you tend to overlook their faults. that is tolerance. when you are trying to give people Krishna Consciousness, you will overlook their impure nature and bad habits, so they can make progress and gradually lose their faults. sometimes we also need to tolerate our own shortcamings. Guest guest
Krishna says in Bhagavad Gita that all endeavors are covered by fault. In this material world, we are all imperfect beings. Therefore we have to overlook the faults of others as well as our own. Jesus said, "forgive them for their sins, for they know not what they do." He remained tolerant and forgiving, even at the time of his crucifixion. In this material world, we are performing under the influence of material nature, and to fulfill our material desires, are acting in so many sinful ways. The only way to become free from this influence, is to surrender to Krishna. When we take up this path of bhakti yoga or Krishna consciousness, we become enlightened from within, understanding the nature of the souls existing within this world, and we become tolerant, forgiving, and merciful to others.
