Guest guest
I found the following on another website: You wear a sacred thread across your shoulder, which is characteristic of a householder and wear saffron clothes which are characteristic of a monk (sannyāsī) as well. So are you a householder or a monk? A) You know that I belong to the tradition of Lord Datta. In the forest of Badari, the siddhas (the accomplished ones) put the same question to Him. He said that He belongs to the turīya āśrama, which is beyond all the four āśramas or stages in life. The four āśramas namely the brahmacārya āśrama or the life of the student celibate, the grhastha āśrama or the householder, the vānaprastha asśrama or the retired solitary devotee and the sannyāsa āśrama or the monk-saint, all have their own rules. Turīya is the final stage, where there are no rules. END QUOTE What is this Turiya asrama? Is this person practicing it correctly?
