Pankaja_Dasa
== Rama Navami Sri Ramacandra Thailand - April 11 2003 Tridandisvami Sri Srimad Bhaktivedanta Narayana Maharaja Lord Ramacandra, Laksmana and Sita then traveled to Dandakaranya forest. Ravana later went there and kidnapped Sita devi. Rama became maddened in separation for her, calling out, "Where are you, where are you?" Ravana took her to Lanka, to a very secret place, and practically nobody knew where he had taken her. Rama then made friendship with the monkeys headed by Sugriva. Sugriva assured him, "I will discover Sita devi's whereabouts." He sent his messenger, Hanuman, to find her. Hanuman went to Lanka by jumping over the ocean - about 100 miles. He discovered Sita and returned to Rama with the news. All the monkey soldiers then came to the ocean, but they did not know how to cross it. The presiding deity of the ocean told Rama, "In your army there are two monkeys, Nil and Nal, who know how to build bridges." These monkeys were very expert. They wrote the name Rama on the innumerable stones, mountains and trees and threw them in the ocean. A very long bridge was soon constructed without pillars - and that bridge can still be seen. It is still seen - about a million years later - though it is lying under the water. It has been discovered by American scientists. [An article about this has been written by Sripad Madhava Maharaja in a recent edition of "The Rays of the Harmonist" magazine.] www.purebhakti.com ========================================== www.rense.com/general30/nasa.htm Lord Sri Ramachandra has said in Sri Ramacharitamanasa, “mama krita setu jo darashanu karihee so bhinu shrama bhavasagara thareehi “ Translation: “And he who sees the bridge erected by me will be able to cross the ocean of worldly existence without any exertion.” (Lanka Kanda 1-5) Comment From Hugh Joseph,10-12-2 Hi Jeff... I read the story headlined above with great interest. This is a story of major significance, as understanding its implications will turn the entire world of Science and History on its head. This bridge, according to accounts in the Ramayana and the Srimad-Bhagavatam, was constructed in the age know as Treta, over 2 million years ago. How did the writers without super space-ranging satellites know about the existence of this bridge? In these ancient accounts, written over 5,000 years ago, we find discussions of, among other things, space travel, inter planetary travel, what we call UFOs and what we mistakenly call ETs. This is not only the History of the planet Earth, but also of this Universe, (a mediocre universe among many millions of universes.) Here one can also learn the real undisguised and uncontaminated truth about God. Our man-made religions are of little or no value when compared to the stunning and breathtaking revelations found in the pages of the Srimad-Bhagavatam, Ramayan, Bhagavad-gita, etc. ==== Madhudvisa dasa from www.krishna.org: The scientists, however, only accept what they can see, hear, feel, touch and smell for themselves. They observe things and try to explain the observations with "scientific" theories. While this is certainly a process of acquiring knowledge, it is a very slow and imperfect one. All such "scientific" knowledge is always flawed because it is gathered by the scientists using their imperfect senses. All our senses are imperfect: we can't see things that are very close or far away, we can only see a limited range of frequencies... But that is not all. Everyone has a tendency to cheat. If I want to prove my theory I will accept the evidence that supports it, but I may not pay too much attention to observations that contradict it... We are also illusioned... We accept so many things as facts which are not facts at all. Science is full of "initial assumptions", and many of these may be wrong, so any theory which relies on these assumptions will also be wrong. If you are doing a big calculation and you make a mistake in the beginning, no matter how nice your calculations are after that point, the answer will be wrong... And finally we all make mistakes. So many experiments are performed but often there are mistakes and the results are not correct... == From a Biography of Sripad BV Dandi Maharaja www.purebhakti.com Sripad Bhakti Vedanta Dandi Maharaja is a teacher and practitioner in the ancient Gaudiya Vaisnava line. He is a disciple of His Divine Grace Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayana Maharaja, the world-famous preacher of Krishna Consciousness, and has also travelled widely throughout India, Malaysia, Taiwan, Singapore and the United States, preaching the message of pure love. Maharaja has arranged many Interfaith conferences around the world, to bring forth harmony and understanding among different faiths, and has written the book, “Vegetarianism- a scientifically proven and time honored path to peace.” In particular, Bhakti Vedanta Dandi Maharaja’s speciality is to speak on the meeting point between modern science and ancient wisdom. With his extensive background in modern science, Maharaja can explain the essential truths of the Eastern scriptures in the language of modern science. Drawing on his background in computer languages, artificial intelligence, computer security, quantam mechanics and medical science, Maharaja easily and expertly shows how modern thinkers are striving for a perfect understanding of reality, and that this perfect conception is found fully in the Vedic scriptures of India. The scientific method strives towards perfection, whereas the Vedic method originates in the perfection of spirit. Maharaja explains how even the most ground-breaking thinking in modern science, is but an imperfect version of the full-fledged conception of the essential nature of reality, which was fully understood and revealed by the ancient Aryan sages. This knowledge continues through an unbroken chain of spiritually realized saints all the way to the present day. Maharaja’s own spiritual master is such a saint. == Modern Day Kamsa's.? Pankaja_Dasa
Bhagavad-gita As It Is His Divine Grace A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada Chapter 16 Text 9 TRANSLATIONThey say that this world is unreal, that there is no foundation and that there is no God in control. It is produced of sex desire, and has no cause other than lust. PURPORTThe demoniac conclude that the world is phantasmagoria. There is no cause, no effect, no controller, no purpose: everything is unreal. They say that this cosmic manifestation arises due to chance material actions and reactions. They do not think that the world was created by God for a certain purpose. They have their own theory: that the world has come about in its own way and that there is no reason to believe that there is a God behind it. For them there is no difference between spirit and matter, and they do not accept the Supreme Spirit. Everything is matter only, and the whole cosmos is supposed to be a mass of ignorance. According to them, everything is void, and whatever manifestation exists is due to our ignorance in perception. They take it for granted that all manifestation of diversity is a display of ignorance. Just as in a dream we may create so many things, which actually have no existence, so when we are awake we shall see that everything is simply a dream. But factually, although the demons say that life is a dream, they are very expert in enjoying this dream. And so, instead of acquiring knowledge, they become more and more implicated in their dreamland. They conclude that as a child is simply the result of sexual intercourse between man and woman, this world is born without any soul. For them it is only a combination of matter that has produced the living entities, and there is no question of the existence of the soul. As many living creatures come out from perspiration and from a dead body without any cause, similarly, the whole living world has come out of the material combinations of the cosmic manifestation. Therefore material nature is the cause of this manifestation, and there is no other cause. They do not believe in the words of Kåñëa in Bhagavad-gétä: mayädhyakñeëa prakåtiù süyate sa-caräcaram. “Under My direction the whole material world is moving.” In other words, amongst the demons there is no perfect knowledge of the creation of this world; every one of them has some particular theory of his own. According to them, one interpretation of the scriptures is as good as another, for they do not believe in a standard understanding of the scriptural injunctions. -==- Says here that demons intrepretate with their own minds, how everything 'came about' without any evidence to support their claims. Or provide any experiments according to the laws of science. Factually speaking Prabhupada says they do not accept any athourity except their own speculations which lead them to believe this world is nothing but a void. Pankaja_Dasa
- Show Me God? Zagreb, Croatia 18.5.2003 Sri Srimad Bhakti Vaibhava Puri Goswami Maharaj You must have faith first. And then only you can cultivate it. And if you cultivate it you will get it. If not, there is no God. "You are a God, I am a God." Oh. Feelings. "But, if you say God, can you show me God?" Who can show them God? Who can show? It is not possible to show. None can show it, the God. God is not visible to all. God is visible to only to some who submits, surrenders. None else. I don't want to speak more about this subject. --
Pankaja_Dasa
Primary seeing power? Srimad Bhagavatam PURPORT 2.1.39 www.vedabase.net The Supreme Lord is one, and His expansions are various. He is therefore the Supersoul of everything. When a man sees anything, he must know that his seeing is secondary and the Lord’s seeing is primary. One cannot see anything without the Lord’s having first seen it. That is the instruction of the Vedas and the Upanisads. -A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada
