Suppose you don't want messages from the test forum or newsletter forum showing up in the list of new messages, you can go to your User Control Panel and select "Options" from the menu on the left. At the very bottom of the page is a menu labeled: Exclude Forums from "Get New Posts" Select which forums you want to exclude from that list.
