Apep
Are we born to just to earn money ? if not, how to remain spiritual and attain god without getting distracted by money ? Please explain clearly Hare krishna Om Namo Venkatesha Indeed Western Civilization has created the notion that money is the only reason to secure a future for any man. This in itself is flawed. What happens when a culture's only motivation to better itself is wealth? It becomes less spiritual and declines in my opinion. Society must be motivated by virtue, wisdom and good things that should be considered the real wealth of life.
krsna
Are we born to just to earn money ? if not, how to remain spiritual and attain god without getting distracted by money ? Please explain clearly Hare krishna Om Namo Venkatesha Money is the root of all evil and sin UNLESS it is used in Krsna Conciousness. Become Krsna Conscious and Money becomes the goddess of fortune waiting to serve Sri Narayana's every desire.

Apep
The real wealth is the dharma followed by the divine. When one gathers money and all the jewels of this life it seems sweet like a good wine. However when one dies and transcends he can not take this wealth with him. The wealth turns into dust like all earthly things in a period of time. All worldly things eventually turn into oblivion The true wealth is the dharma and divine for these things you can take with you in death. When your soul transcends it will shine like the sun with the gifts of dharma and divinity. Om Namah Shivaya:)
agyat_theunknown
Good understanding is a prerequisite for dharma. Money can only fulfil your material needs/desires. It can never buy dharma for you. Dharma can only be cultivated through understanding. It is your spiritual need... Ofcourse, if you understand! Dharma can only be cultivated through understanding. It is your spiritual need... Ofcourse, if you understand! Indeed this is true. True wisdom has to be earned through vigourous amounts of time and studying. Not to mention alot of soul searching as well. There appears to be a flawed movement in the world today that says if you throw money and wealth at a problem things will get better. This can definately not be the truth. Infact it is the opposite thing from the truth.
Guest guest
Money is the root of all evil and sin UNLESS it is used in Krsna Conciousness. Become Krsna Conscious and Money becomes the goddess of fortune waiting to serve Sri Narayana's every desire. Money is not the root of all evil. There exist a number of activities which can be classified as evil and and have nothing to do with money. On the other hand, money is the source of many good things as well. I can feed so many hugry people & educate as many kids as I can with my money without bringing Krishna or Allah or any other God into the picture. Religion from what I see for most people is something "over and above" the regular stuff. You do everything like having a nice job, car, laptop, bradband connection, etc, etc, and the rest of the time is what you focus on religion; just like someone else would focus on football or photography. People for whom religion is a full time activity will have no income and will most likely have no access to a computer to post on religious forums about the evils of money. Cheers
agyat_theunknown
If you use your excess money to serve needy people, you get something in return. You get the joy and bliss of service. It gives you satisfaction, which in turn brings happiness for you. But, the service should be anonymous, otherwise you might become arrogant or egoistic and the whole purpose will fail... akshar
How can money be called the root of evil? Laxmi ma is the giver of money. Of money was sinful we wouldn't have a devi presiding over it would we? We have been born to obtain moksha and spread the name of god.
