I recently read a tiny book entitled "The Whole Thing The Real

Thing, a short biographical skectch about the life of Swami Shantanand

Saraswati Maharaj (who was the guru of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, who

founded Transcendental Meditation). What was most inspirational to me

of his many qualities as a seeker, was that he had an "Ideal of

Perfection" that he was seeking, and yet he approached his search with

a childlike heart, with wonderment, with an emptiness, with no hidden

agenda, and suspending all judgement. And obviously, eventually, his

search was met with fruitful abundance.

Swami Shantanand, I believe was the guru of Swami Brahmananda

Saraswati and not of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Swami Brahmananda was

Maharishi's guru.

Kirk,

Yes, thank you for the correction. I am referring to

the small biography of Swami Brahmananda Saraswati.

This book indicates that his guru was Swami

Krishnanand

Saraswati of Uttarkashi.
