Swamiji's answer to Astraea's questions about Nine planet Sadhana

Please remember the story of the king who went to visit a sadhu. The

young son of the rishi said, "My father is meditating in the forest

right

now. What can I do to help you?"

 

The king replied, "As a king, I committed many terrible sins. My

armies

have vanquished many villages, we have killed many soldiers, we

plundered and pillaged. What can I do to be free from the sins that

I have

committed?"

 

The rishi's son said, "That's easy. Go home and say the name of Ram

twice."

 

"Only twice?" replied the king with delight.

 

"Yes, only twice," answered the young boy.

 

That evening the father returned to the hermitage and asked his son

if

there were any visitors. "Yes," relied the young boy. "A king came

wanting to be free from his sins."

 

"What did you tell him?" asked the father.

 

"I told him to go home and say the name of Ram twice."

 

"What king of a son are you?" scolded the rishi. "You could have

told

him to say it once!"
