Guest guest
93 namaste, dear Parvati and others ok ppl, i don't byheart all shlokas lol, you should have given me the reference to Chani itself. anyway, we cannot take one shloka and make a base for our theology out of it. if so, i can quote such places, that we become confused forever if take 'em literally. what i wrote is gereral idea of those forms, i guess any shaakta-pandit will confirm that. yes, various sects give smwhat different interpretations but still. in one puraana i met also sm place telling that vaishnavi is trigunaa. ok, this can be undertood as that She being ichchhaa-shakti is the first of three, so She incorporates other two. coming to your shloka, exact translation will be sarvasyaadyaa mahaalakShmiis triguNaa parameshvarii lakShyaa lakShyasvaruupaa saa vyaapya kRitsnam vyavasthitaa.. The Supreme Lady Mahalaksmi, [who embodies all] the three qualities, who is percievable [or who is the goal] and whose own form is percievable, She is present in the whole [existence] and permeats it. Respected Swami SS is not giving proper translation, rather interpretation of his own. I notices same thing in other books of him, for example /Kali-puja/... God bless you , "parvati_saraswati" <parvati_saraswati> wrote: > The following Sanskrit sloka came from the Chand Path > translated and transliterated by Swami Satyananda Saraswati: > "sarvasyaadya mahaalaksmiis trigunaa paramesvarii > laksyaa laksyasvaruupaa saa vyaapya krtsnam vyavasthitaa" > > The Supreme Sovereign, the Great Goddess of True Wealth. > who is comprised of the three qualities, is the f irst and > foremost of all causes.
