Guest guest
Namaste All, Taking some baby steps to intellectually understanding the Chandi/Rudri and other books. I pray for intuitive understanding along the way. What are the mantras in these books that address a specific topic ? Here is starting a compilation on 'Removing Fear' . I request my brothers and sisters to add to the list whenever you come across any verses in any of the books that you use for your Sadhana. Chandi - Atha sapta Sloki Durga - Verse 5 - "Sarvasvarupe ... durge devi namo-stu te" "The Intrinsic Nature of All, the Supreme of All, and the Energy of All as well; YOU REMOVE ALL FEAR FROM US,Oh Goddess; Reliever of Afflictions; Oh Goddess we bow to you" Namaste. Guest guest
Namaste Latha, In the same sapta sloki is one of my favorite slokas: "Durge smrtaa harasi BHITI masesajantoh..." Oh, Reliever of Difficulties, remembering You the fear of all living beings is dispelled..." All we have to do is remember... , "Latha Nanda" <lathananda> wrote: > Namaste All, > > Taking some baby steps to intellectually understanding the > Chandi/Rudri and other books. Guest guest
Looks like 'BHIT' is the operative word - which means fear. I found a couple more in the Chandi . Chapter 11 - Verse 26 - 'Jvalaakaralam.....namostu-te" "With intensive brilliance , exceedingly sharp, the fierce destroyer of all thoughts , may your trident protect us from all fear. Oh Excellent She who is beyond All time, we bow to you" Chapter 11 - Verse 34 'Devi Prasida.... Mahopasargan" "Oh Goddess , please be pleased. As you have just now saved us by slaying thoughts , in like manner always save us from fear of foes. Eradicate all evil from all the worls, as well as all confusion and disturbance". ------------------------------- , "Gauri" <gaurima108> wrote: > Namaste Latha, > > In the same sapta sloki is one of my favorite slokas: > > "Durge smrtaa harasi BHITI masesajantoh..." > > Oh, Reliever of Difficulties, remembering You the fear of all living > beings is dispelled..." > > All we have to do is remember... > > , "Latha Nanda" <lathananda> > wrote: > > Namaste All, > > > > Taking some baby steps to intellectually understanding the > > Chandi/Rudri and other books. Guest guest
Another amazing Chandi passage (are any NOT amazing??? Rhetorical question, I know) can be found in Chapter 9, verse 34-35: sula hastam samaayaantam nisumbhamamaraardanam hrdi vivyaadha sulena vegaaviddhena candikaa bhinnasya tasya sulena hrdayaan nihsrto-parah mahaabalo mahaaviiryas tistheti puruso vadan "As Self-Deprecation, the afflictor of Gods, approached with pike in hand, She Who Tears Apart Thought swiftly pierced him in the heart with Her own pike. Emerging from the heart pierced by the pike came a spirit of great strength and valor crying, 'STOP!' At the end he was afraid...the one who has caused so much pain and confusion couldn't seem to help himself. Balasubramanian NR
Everyone has sometype sorrow or difficulties. Whenever, one starts a work, some bottle neck or hitch will occur without allowing a person to do the job. To get the job completed successfully, one can chant the following Mantra. Aneka Vigna Samahaadree thvanekaaparanaana vithaa Avidya Jnaanasam Hardhree hkya vidyaa jaalanaasinee If one chants 10 times daily for a mandalam, 48 days, such problems will not arise.
