Guest guest
Dig this---Last nite was the greatest class class on the Chandi ever-- Swami Satyananda went through the Chandi word by word translating each Sanskrit word into English--on computer with an LCD projecting it onto a screen. It was the first time I really felt like I was truly reading the Chandi. It reminded me of reading the Aenead with an interlinear in Latin. You don't have to stop to look up words in the dictionary and you know where the Sanskrit words begin and end (big problem solved). It was intense; it took my breath away. Guest guest
Many people tell me "You are an Indian and Sanskrit comes naturally (?!!!) to you , so chanting the Chandi should be easy for you". I pick up on Sanskrit words fairly easily because there are some borrowed words in my native language. So it may or may not be a big deal to me. But, I see many people who are clueless in the language, sweating everyday , make several brave attempts at beginner sanksrit classes, not knowing when a word begins or ends, stumble through the text and complete their sankalpa. HATS OFF TO YOU ! Namastasyai ! Namastasyai ! Namastasyai Namo Namah ! It is the person who fights against odds and keeps going that is the hero(ine) . Every time I need an inspiration I look to some of my brothers and sisters at the Mandir . Thank you.
