Guest guest
Swamiji gave a beautiful lesson in talking about the 12th shloka of the Chandi Path... "the city which my ancestors had protected in former times has now gone from me," (the king is lamenting)... We have lost our connection with our own ancestry, our own roots of being, the ancient knowledge; we are out of contact with that which we once knew--when we are caught in attachment, in selfish or self-oriented concerns, we forget the beautiful knowledge of ourselves that connects us with our source, with pure consciousness and divine being-- our ancestors, Shiva and Shakti--our Father and Divine Mother. In that knowing is our pure intuitive perception, our gift from our ancestors. How to remember?
Guest guest
Dear Nitya, I can only quote back what Swamiji said in an earlier post "the purpose of a spiritual life is to remember God. All our practices, our Puja, our Sadhana are designed to do just that". How to remember - Do More Sadhana. That is an excellent question. Thank you for bringing it up. I am going to stay with the question for a while to see what comes up.
