Reading through the posts on generosity I was reminded of a little

song that Swamiji use to sing on those rare occasions. It was always

very special when he would sing this song and we would all join in

and sing together.

"From you I receive,

and to you I give.

Together we share,

and through this we live."

Thank you Swamiji for your joyous inspiration and song!

The very first visits I made to the temple in Martinez, after homa and

satsang, Maa served up our evening meal and Swamiji led us in singing

that song as we passed the plates of food along to the next person.

I always saw it as " we receive the food from Maa and Her sevaks who

cooked the food, the blessings from Swami/Maa and each other and we

pass it along to the rest of the family and guests and then send the

blessings back to Them (our Source); completing the circle of joy and

blessing."

Oh, Parvati... do you remember the wonderful welcome you gave me when

I first entered the temple? I was stunned by the beauty of the

murtis. I felt like I had gone through a time/space warp and was in

India. You made me feel at Home; free to worship MahaLakshmi. My

lovely sister, I will always be grateful for your love and devotion

to the Gurus and your welcoming presence.
