Guest guest
Namaste Sarada! I really needed to hear this message! I have three little clay monkeys, "See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil." Timeless message. Remember, remember! Yes, these are very great austerities! Guest guest
Dearest Mother, Thank you so much for your beautiful, full words--purnamidam! Just the other day as I was chanting puja to Hanuman, my mind came more clearly to the words I was chanting--I focused more on what I was saying, and wondered about them. In puja, we ask: --...payahsvatih pradishah santu mahyam" "May all perceptions shine forth with the sweet taste of nectar for us." --om tat vishnoh paramamm padam sadaa pashyanti suryah diviva chakshura tatam" "om that Consciousness of the highest station, who always sees the Light of Wisdom, give us Divine Eyes." --om yajjaagrato duramudeti daivam tadu suptasya tathaivaiti durangamam jyotisham jyotirekam tanme manah......" "May our waking consciousness replace pain and suffering with divinity as also our awareness when asleep. Far extending be our radiant aura of light, filling our minds with light....." --"...aahamajaani garbbhadhamaa tvamajaasi garbbhadham...." "...sit within me, giving birth to the realm of the Gods within me; yes, giving birth to the realm of the Gods within me." And, in the closing prayer: --"...tana maamavatu, tada vaktaaramavatu avatu maam, avatu vaktaaram." "...May this body be your instrument. May this mouth be your instrument. May the Divine always be with us...." Sometimes I forget to pay full attention to my prayers to God when I am chanting in Sanskrit, but I don't want to forget---thank you, Maa for your gentle reminders--You are Smrti!! (Recollection) With full love and devotion.... May our prayers, and therefore yours, be answered. Guest guest
Nitya Ma, Do you do the Hanuman Chalisa everyday? I don't have the text for it so I've never tried to chant it. I do have a couple of different renditions of it. My favorite is by Krishna Das (Live On Earth). Guest guest
Astraea, I do Hanuman puja every Tuesday and every Saturday, good days to worship Hanuman, and sing the chalisa most every time; I sing the tune I was taught from Swamiji; the words are in the Hanuman Puja book, transliterated and also translated by Swamiji ( I chant it and sing it in Sanskrit) It is such a great chalisa--I didn't know Krishna Das sang it on CD! I'll look for Live On Earth right now--on to amazon.com.... You can order the text (Hanuman Puja) from the Devi Mandir website. jai Hanuman! (I really love this aspect of Rudra, I feel close to Him; I have a little murti on my altar; Hanuman has saved me many times, and teaches me much about seva) Love Nitya , "astraea2003" <astraea2003> wrote: > Nitya Ma, > Do you do the Hanuman Chalisa everyday? Guest guest
Namaste Nitya, Thank you. I found that the text to the Hanuman Chalisa (in teeny weeny print) is included with the Krishna Das CD. I also have Swamiji's Hanuman Puja book, but obviously, I have not read it yet. Hanuman always reminds me of Ram Dass & Bhagawan Dass (Michael Riggs) of "Be Here Now" fame. Neem Karoli Baba. Hanuman, the Supreme Servant of Ram. I love to hear stories about how mantras have worked in other people's lives.
