Guest guest
Dear Latha, I think you are already are "infected" with the "love bug." Think about this: Last week when you were feeling conflict about your desire verses the Guru's will this was only because you "love" Maa and wanted to please her. What about a few days ago when she asked you if you were going to go to the Sundar Kand. She did not tell you to go but you intuited that that is what she wanted you to do and so in trying to please Maa because you love her you immeadiately jumped in your car without a second thought and drove 1 hour and 15 minutes to join the Sundar Kand. Still you had to come back when it was over which was another 1 hour and 15 minute drive in the opposite direction from where you live, pick up your belongings and Nirmala, and then drive back another 2 hours to go home. Latha, I have seen you jump with devotion for Maa. Interesting that both of these incidents revolved around the Sundarkand. Jai Hanuman ! Jai Sri Ram! Latha, one question for you. Will you be at the next Sundar Kand????????
Guest guest
Dear Parvati, It is your kind nature that attributes my motives to being infected with the love bug. I really wish that I could take credit for that but honesty prompts otherwise ... My explanation is simple - obedience. I am nowhere close to the level of surrender that you and some others have for Maa , but I can follow orders or try to ) sneak my way out of them and lose. It is like what Swami said - "when I pray I may not always have a heart overflowing with love, but I WILL keep my knees on the ground. " That is, I will do what is in my control, the rest is upto Her. I dont remember the original words but here is my version of it ... The obedience from me .. The Grace from You The commitment from me .. The Blessings from You The work from me .. The Way from You The action from me .. Their fruition from You. I love the Sundar Kand - it is an energy filled 2 hr vocal workout. Personally, if I had the choice between staying at the Mandir to going for Sundar Kand -- you know where my desire lies . Maybe I could invent another sankalpa to stay at the Mandir - do you think Maa would fall for that ? Kidding apart, I will do what is the most appropriate at the time. If the appropriate decision is to give up on my wishes - I will , with Her blessings.
