Guest guest
Does anyone know anything about Ketu, especially relating to Ketu as a mahadasha? Any appropriate propitiations? TIA
Guest guest
Hi KB, I take it you're undergoing a Ketu mahadasha? Both the lunar nodes (Ketu & Rahu) are considered generally to be malefic. But Ketu is excellent for spiritual pursuits. Ketu (lunar South Node) always reminds me of a naked ascetic. Shree Maa has an excellent "Nava Graha" mantra CD. Cat's Eye (Chrysoberyl) is the gemstone for Ketu. Unfortunately, real Cat's Eye is expensive. You'd have to get the right weight and have it consecrated for it to be effective. A homa can be done for Ketu, either at a Hindu temple or thru an online source. I've had homas done thru Ammachi.org before, but it's been a while so I don't know if they're still offering that service. You can buy a Ketu yantra and use that as a object of worship. The effects of a Ketu mahadasha can only be assessed by looking at your chart -- specifically what is your Ketu like? What sign is it in? What house? How is it aspected? Where is Ketu in your Moon chart & Navamsha? What bhukti? You don't have to answer any of this here, but what I'm saying is that you need to go to a competent Vedic astrologer who will advise you on all this.
