Guest guest
Is there a Puja for Maya? I love her and want to worship her directly. Brian --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Guest guest
Dear Brian, This is not a direct answer to your question (this might be one for Swamiji), but have you read The Highest Meaning of the Goddess (Shri Devyatharvashirsham) in the Chandi Path? It is not a puja, but an astonishing and lovely hymn to Maya, to Mahalakshmi. See especially the 14th shloka, where the Shri Vidya mantra is embedded in the text, like a code, as Swamiji explains on p. 99. Here, the code elaborated gives bija mantras for the three forms of Maya: in the causal body, the subtle body, and the gross body, three ways of understanding the mantra, "hrim." Three forms of Maya: as illusion, as the universal body of Nature, as the One Consciousness in harmony with its own self. (all are three kinds of relationships) On page 100, he goes on to discuss the Bhaavartha, or the meaning of the mantra according to intensity of intuition of the aspirant--quite something. I can understand how you love Her-- "ata evochyate ajneyaanantaa lakshyaa jaikaa naiketi!" (therefore She is called Unknowable, Infinite, Undefinable, Unborn, One, and Many) The sri devyatharvashirsham is possibly my most favorite part of Chandi to chant and meditate upon. Guest guest
Namaste, See the Lalita Trishati; 60 out of 300 names begin with hrIM, which is the seed mantra for mAyA. Some meanings for these names include: Who is worshipped as hrIM (mAyA) Who is worshipped with the syllable hrIM (mAyA) Who enjoys repetition of the syllable hrIM (mAyA) Who is spoken of as hrIM (mAyA) So, Lalita IS hrIM (mAyA), and can be worshipped by japa of the seed mantra, hrIM. Guest guest
Namaste Nitya, I remember seeing previous posts on this. I'll check it out. Thanks! She is the ultimate teacher, the highest teacher because she works with the lowest aspects of who we are and shows them how to be devine. *hugs* Brian nitya_ma <nitya_ma Nov 24, 2003 12:19 AM Re: Maya Puja Dear Brian, This is not a direct answer to your question (this might be one for Swamiji), but have you read The Highest Meaning of the Goddess (Shri Devyatharvashirsham) in the Chandi Path?
