Greetings all,

I am new to this Group/Message Board. I have enjoyed brwosing through

old posts. Lots of intelligent people/discussion here.

I was wondering if anyone could give me some directions in simple

Kali Puja. I have Swamijis Kali Puja book. Hooweee! That is a little

too advanced for me. But, it seems like all the elements of a simpler

Puja are there (Nyasa, Kavach, Arati, Japa etc.) Could anyone tell me

which parts to use, what order etc.

Thanks

Welcome SE101 !

I know someone on the forum will respond specifically for Kali Puja.

Swamiji always advises us to start with the beginner Siva or Durga

Pujas. Do you have the beginner Durga Puja book - it is a complete

puja and takes about 15 mins to go through.

The CD that can be bought additionally is chanted by Shree Maa and is

very very very lovely. It will help you to get a jumpstart on puja.

Again, a warm welcome to you. If you are in the Bay Area, we can also

get together if you want a demonstration on any of the aspects of the

Puja.

Best wishes,

Latah

You could start out with just small pieces of the Kali Puja. Adya

stotram, the Kali Kavacham (armor of Kali) or the 108 names of Kali

might suit you fine. Just find a part of the Kali book that you

especially like and give it a try. That is the way I started out with

it. To this day, there are parts of the Kali Puja book that I have

never done.

Namaste,

I knew someone who had the same problem. You can use this as

a start and you are more comfortable you can add on from the Kaalii

Puujaa book like adya stotram Kali Kavacham and so on. This Puujaa is

not complete but it is a start with the main areas... With love-Ram
