Guest guest
I have heard so much about Sri Sarada Devi, the spiritual Consort of Sri Ramakrishna, the Holy Mother. I respect Her. Then I read a book by Sister Gargi (renunciate from RK Mission). In one story she talks about a problem that she faced during her early years at the Mission . She prayed to Ramakrishna daily, tried to shut her mind to the problem and meditate .... she just struggled and asked for an answer. Nothing happened. I continue from her book Sister Gargi says "Then, one afternoon, there came from the wall on my left where hung a portrait of Sri Sarada Devi - there came not fireworks but a gentle whisper, "Ask me". I turned to Holy Mother, knowing, as I should have known all along, that it was she who cared. I placed the problem before her mother's heart and at once felt the weight of it lift from my my own heart and mind. It was as though she had said, softly, simply, "Will I not take care of my child? I dont respect Holy Mother anymore. I am too busy loving Her. Pranamaami muhuh muhuh.
Guest guest
In obsevance of Sri Sarada Devi's birthday, Vedanta Society had a 10 am puja followed by lunch prasad today. A red hooped skirt was draped over a chair and a painting of her sat ontop of the skirt. Most Vedanta Society people sit in chairs. Very few of them sit on the floor in asanna. They cook rather well. , "Latha Nanda" <lathananda> wrote: > I have heard so much about Sri Sarada Devi, the spiritual Consort of > Sri Ramakrishna, the Holy Mother. > > I respect Her. > > Then I read a book by Sister Gargi (renunciate from RK Mission).
