Guest guest
Namaste and Jai Maa to everyone, there are various forms of meditation in practise, wouldn't it be great to practise following as prescribed in Bhagwad Geeta? regards, Remembering me at the time of death, close down the doors of the senses and place the mind in the heart. Then, while absorbed in meditation, focus all energy upwards to the head. Repeating in this state the divine Name, the syllable Om that represents the changeless Brahman, you will go forth from the body and attain the supreme goal. -Bhagavad Gita 8:12-
Guest guest
I think meditation in its highest form is basically listening and allowing God/dess, spirit guides/angels and energies to work on you directly for your good. > > I've found the energies have been really high > lately. and so I am realy in need of this work. I've been very lucky that Goddess has been working with my directly in these matters, as I believe she will help everyone who sincerely asks her for help. > The Goddess has been working with me on retaining > peace and focus amidst all the things that are > happening in the world that make me nervous. > > She is having me do one thing, stop thinking about > everything, worrying obsessing, sometimes even stop > praying when it is just going on and on, and just > slow down, stop, and look her in the eyes. And it really puts me at peace. She reassures me she knows all the concerns of my heart and will take care of us. > > I am learning. It is so simple, should be so > simple, but it takes practice. One I remember, and usually because she reminds me, I just focus on her eyes and I am calmed. I did this today when the energies were running really high. It really works! > > With eyes open or closed. It is very reassuring and > stablizing. Guest guest
Thank you Woody for sharing this. When I was at the Devi Mandir, I used to practice open-eyed meditation staring into the eyes of Durga Ma. It is true that this practice cuts off thoughts and stills the mind. It also opens the heart to true devotion. I also like close-eyed meditation where I focus on Her eye within my third eye. She is alive! Sometimes she flirts with me. > turtle dragon <turtledragonscove > > Sat, 6 Mar 2004 19:09:48 -0800 (PST) > <> > Fwd: Meditation > > > I think meditation in its highest form is basically > listening and allowing God/dess, spirit guides/angels > and energies to work on you directly for your good. >> >> I've found the energies have been really high >> lately. and so I am realy in need of this work. > I've been very lucky that Goddess has been working > with my directly in these matters, as I believe she > will help everyone who sincerely asks her for help. > >> The Goddess has been working with me on retaining >> peace and focus amidst all the things that are >> happening in the world that make me nervous. >> >> She is having me do one thing, stop thinking about >> everything, worrying obsessing, sometimes even stop >> praying when it is just going on and on, and just >> slow down, stop, and look her in the eyes.
