Namaste Swamiji,

I have this idea. (Yes, a mental idea, I seem to be full of it these days.) ;-)

Currently, everyone on the planet is experiencing the Chandi personally,

continuously, and endlessly.

Everyone has an inner consciousness that wants to be recognized. Everyone

has an inner energy, and inner Durga, Chandi, Kali, who are poised to heal

us and make us whole. And we also have an inner King Good Thoughts and an

inner Business Man who want to reclaim their respective domains.

We also have an inner Rishi who is constantly waiting for us to ask

questions so he can answer them and guide us on our path.

Unfortunately, the rest of the Chandi characters are present as well; the

self proclaimed ruler of the three worlds, the great ego, that phantom of

the generals of the mind; we have the four most unhealthy issuers of

thoughts: Too much, too little (not enough), Self deprecation (inner

criticism), and self aggrandizement (outer criticism).

For me all these characters are at continuous play within my awareness and

often outside my awareness. I see their behaviors in others. I see them

within me.

I cannot seem to find peace and neither can the rest of the people in the

world because of them.

The Chandi, to me is the single most powerful allegory of life as a human

being I have ever seen or could ever imagine. At its surface it seems

merely to be a story of men ejected from their homes, but at the deepest

level I can comprehend it is a story that tells the method by which we can

free ourselves of worldly attachments, of endless cycles of self criticism,

doubt, self conceit and egotism.

But more than that, it is also a mechanism in itself, a magical spell if

you will, that can create for us, within us, the necessary attitude to

allow the energy of consciousness to eradicate our self confusion and unite

us with goddess.

It tells us not only how to begin to build consciousness but also the

things that may happen when we do so. It explains the mechanisms that cause

all the cycles of self destruction most prevalent in the human mind and

thus in human life.

Lately I have seen much of the book playing out within myself. And my only

recourse has been to cry to mother to free me, because I am not in control

of my thoughts.

The Chandi provides examples for how to approach the goddess as well, and

how to ask for her help with dignity and respect.

I pray that some day I will be able to reclaim my kingdoms and unite with

goddess.

That's what Chandi means to me now. No doubt in a years time, my feelings

will have deepened.

Love,

Brian

Beloved Swamiji,

Thank you for the Chandi.

I have done the Chandi - several small sankalpas for various reasons

The first time to say "I have been there and done that"

The second time to see if it could help me better my life.

Various other times to demand angrily of the Mother in the 13th

Chapter - after all She asks us for a boon - and I say "I have done

so much and also spent that last few others chanting for you, so I

want you to grant my wish"

There have been several fits and starts to my Chandi, but it has been

HER blessing that she has made me stick to chanting for Her.

And with her blessing, I have stopped asking Her to help me control

my circumstances.

I now ask Her to live my life dedicated to Her.

Every breath I take

Every act I do

Every thought I think

Should be only for YOU.

As it is mentioned in the Devimayi chapter of the Chandi, I recognize

Her as the Destroyer of all Obstructions and the Grantor of Welfare.

The brief moment of appearance in this life should be spent without

other thoughts, only in singing your praise, chanting your names, and

offering of devotion.

Thank you for the Chandi.

Victory to the Mother.

Latha

Chandi goddess seems very regenerative.Regular recitation of Chandi

appears to bring us entry into a dimension in which we can remake our

lives into something more meaningful. The unnecessary and superfulus

seems to die away. We become more practical. More gets done. We

become more efficient. Our puja to Chandi becomes a hinge upon which

a door to something opens, but just what that something is, I do not

yet know.

When I met Shree Maa my whole life paused and took a step aside.

I remember my sister telling me, 'Shree Maa says that she is in the Chandi Path.

That

is where we can find her.'

And I remember that I was so desperate to be with her again that I started to

read it

like a crazy person because that's what she said.

And it's still the same for me.

Beloved Swamiji and Divine Family,

re: how does She interact in your life?

By chanting the Chandi Path and allowing more and more intimate

relationship with The Goddess, I have received many beautiful gifts.

I used to pray for vision--the ability to see the Divine in all

things, all people. I see Her in the eyes of others all the time

now. More and more people have come into my life to support me in

this journey Home. So now, I try not to ask Her for anything--just

delightfully receive what she gives me. She moves through me,

flowing out to the others that I have the blessing to teach and learn

with. It is always just Her again--giving me the vision I so treasure.

So blessings to all of you at DM and on-line. Love is all you need!

Jai Maa,

Lynne
