Guest guest
There is nothing more wonderful than Shiva worship. The "consciousness of infinite goodness", as He is known, is most wonderful. Worshipping Him brings growth towards infinite goodness. It becomes easier to see that than other things and limitations. Life does not change overnight, but my life has become more infused with the feeling of witnessing action than being absorbed in the act itself. He brings change, the "Lord of Change", or he is known as the "Lord of Destruction". So even if you really like something, you cannot get stuck in it. Change you He will, and change you He must. He destroyes all that causes attachment. He brings freedom from the ultimate-attachment to action and to life itself. Without that attachment, you can feel and move in the attitude of the consciousness of infinite goodness. I have witnessed Shree Maa many times moving in the world, but not part of it. She embodies the consciousness of infinite goodness and thus she can take away our darkness and stress with one glance, one gentle touch. She is the perfect example of that supreme consciousness in motion, in action. Uplifting all she touches. Yet never attached to anything. So, the simple act of performing Shiva puja daily, hastens the enivitable, breaking down the walls and barriers that separate us from each other and the consciousness of infinite goodness. We become conscious of who we really are thru worship of Shiva. Start today. Read the beginners Shiva puja book in English and marvel at the profound wisdom and bliss embodied there. Then, dive into the Sanskrit and let the wave of infinite goodness wash away your barriers. Pray to Shive as Rudra, the Reliever or Suffering, and He will take away the biggest block of all, the fear of death. And what is death? It is thinking that you are this physical body, these emotions, these limitations. Instead, you Are Pure Being, the Consciousness of Infinite Goodness. Guest guest
Vishweshwar, This is inspiring, your desciption of Shree Maa: "I have witnessed Shree Maa many times moving in the world, but not part of it. She embodies the consciousness of infinite goodness and thus she can take away our darkness and stress with one glance, one gentle touch." My Mom used to say, "be in this world, not of it." I think this is from the Bible. Peace, Steve C.

Guest guest
Thank you for this beautiful explanation. The Beginner Shiva Puja is a true gem. And if you can add to it from the Advanced Shivq Puja, so much the better. Reading your descriptions brought back all the inspiring times I spent at the Devi Mandir with the family and with our Beloved Gurus.
