The Kavach (or Armor of the Goddess) is one of the 6 limbs of the

Chandi.

The Kavach is literally pointing to every part of your body and

placing a Goddess there , requesting protection for that part. Then

it goes on asking for protection for wealth, prosperity, knowledge,

spouse, children .....

It even has a default clause .. "Oh Goddess , protect all those

places not mentioned in the armor "

It is said that for the welfare of his own soul, a man should not

take one step without this armor. But if he always proceeds with the

armor, wherever he goes, there he accomplishes all his objectives,

conquering all desires.

So when you get up in the morning, put on your armor too when you are

putting on your clothes. Then the Devi is with you all day ...

The Kavach comprises 56 sanskrit shlokas and is chanted beautifully

by Maa in the Chandi cassette/MP3 CD.
